Happy Monday! The next two weeks are busy, as we approach the end of the regular season. We may be sending emails more frequently than normal, and are always appreciative that you take the time to read our notes. Please send us questions and feedback!

Spirit Carnival Results

Thanks for coming out to play at the annual Spirit Carnival last week! Congratulations to the swimmers who earned tons of points for their team. Here are the results:

• Popportunity (Green) - 963 points
• Rock the Block (Red) - 692 points
• Take Your Mark (Blue) - 660 points
• Underwaterworks (Yellow) - 384 points

The season-long spirit contest continues with Spirit Relays and other activities next week. Stay tuned!

Slide Show Photos

We are gathering photos for the annual slide show, to be enjoyed at Awards Night on August 19 (save the date!)  Please upload photos of your favorite LTST summer memories HERE. Please submit images with age group and last names of swimmers in the file name. This helps tremendously as we try to ensure that everyone is represented in the slide show. Any questions? All-Member BBQ & Bake Sale, July 20

LT’s next all-pool BBQ is scheduled for Thursday, July 20! Please sign up to help with the grill or register. Burgers, dogs, and ribs are back by popular demand, and we're also adding a bake sale this time to help fundraise for our swim team scoreboard! We need five families to contribute baked goods and help staff the table - kids encouraged to take the lead here! These volunteers can be Seahorse swimmers or not; anyone who wants to contribute! HOX Last Chance Meet, July 23

This meet is fast, fun and exciting! There are no restrictions on the number of events a swimmer can enter. When signing up for this meet, you MUST choose your strokes. Event Info below.

• Sunday, July 23 from 3pm - 7pm
• Blackhawk Country Club Sports Complex - 1098 Eagle Nest Place, Danville, CA 94506
• ENTRY DEADLINE: Thursday, July 20
• COST: $15 per swimmer
• MEET JOBS: This meet is completely staffed by the HOX team, no jobs are required of any other family or team.
• Event Order: IM is offered at the beginning of the meet and at the end. Both IM events are mixed gender and mixed ages. Event order is as follows: 50 Free mixed gender/mixed ages, IM mixed gender/mixed ages, Free, Breast, Back, Fly, IM mixed gender/mixed ages.
• You may set-up starting at 1:00 PM
• Psych Sheet will be posted Saturday July 22 at 10AM. Meet program will be available on July 23 at 9AM @ hoxswim.com.
• Fast suits are permitted per USA swim rules

Coach Appreciation Week, July 24-28

We are so fortunate to have engaging, spirited, and caring Coaches leading our swim team. They have helped our swimmers learn, succeed, and develop a love for our team and sport. Let’s take an opportunity to show them how much they mean to us!

July 24-28 is Spirit Week, and will also be our first Coach Appreciation Week. If you would like to participate, please encourage your swimmer to do or bring a little something on the day that is assigned to their age group. Some ideas are a handmade card, snack, gift card, or treat - encourage your swimmer to be creative!

• Tuesday, July 25 - 11/12
• Wednesday, July 26 - 9/10
• Thursday, July 27 - 7/8
• Friday, July 28 - 6 & Under

Our Coaches are: Andrew, Audrey, Ben, Emma, Kiera, Megan, Tabi, Chloe, Harriet and Samuel.  Coach Elizabeth is our Sea Pony Coach who also helps at swim meets!

Spirit Week, July 24-28

Here’s a preview of the fun spirit activities that are planned for the week leading up to our league Championship. More details will follow about each of these activities.

• Tuesday, July 25 - Mudskipper & Sea Pony Debut, Spirit Relays (daytime)
• Wednesday, July 26 - Nails and Tattoos (daytime), Senior Meet / Sea Pony Meet (evening)
• Thursday, July 27 - Family Spirit Night (evening)
• Friday, July 28 - Poster Making (daytime)

LSC Last Chance Meet, July 30

Lafayette Swim Conference is hosting a Last Chance Meet. Swimmers have one last chance to achieve a POP or GOLD time to qualify for the County Meet.

• Sunday, July 30 at 3pm
• Acalanes High School Pool
• Splash Fee $10 plus $7 per event. Individuals must pre-register online via FastSwims. Instructions and registration link HERE.
• Warmups for all ages begins @ 1:30pm
• Registration closes July 28th or when the meet reaches capacity
• No restrictions on seed times, number of events or number of swims
