We have reached the final week of Spring Clinic, and it has been exciting to see what progress our 92 participants have made this Spring. We are looking forward to welcoming all of our Swim Team members to the pool for Pre-Season practices beginning next week. Thank you for reading the following important updates.

KICKOFF MEETING 4/13

All Swim Team families, both returning and new, are invited to join us for the 2023 season Kickoff Meeting this Thursday, April 13 at 7:00 PM on ZOOM. We will be revealing the 2023 Spirit Theme, discussing the Parent Job point requirement and signup process, sharing key information about Apparel, Fundraising, Social Events, Private Lessons, using our new website, and more. The meeting will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

If this is your first year on the Swim Team, please be sure you’ve viewed the New Family Meeting recording prior to attending the Kickoff Meeting.

14+ IN-THE-WATER HELPERS FOR PRE-SEASON

Seahorses ages 14+ please be on the lookout for an email and SignupGenius from the LTST Directors. We are securing older swimmers who are interested in assisting our 6 & under swimmers in the water during the first two weeks of pre-season practice.

PRE-SEASON BEGINS MONDAY, 4/17

Our 6-week Pre-Season runs Monday, April 17 - Wednesday, May 24. Practice is Monday through Thursday and follows the schedule outlined below. We understand that many other spring sports are still in session, but please do your best to attend afternoon practices as often as possible. These early weeks of the season are so important for establishing foundational skills and building endurance for the summer ahead.

3:45 - 4:25 PM, 6 & Unders and Select 7/8s (Directors emailed the 7/8s requested at this practice)

4:25 - 5:05 PM, remaining 7/8s

5:05 - 5:50 PM, 9/10s

5:50 - 6:40 PM, 11/12s and 13/14 Boys

6:40 - 7:30 PM, 13/14 Girls and 15-18s

No practice May 25, May 26, May 29

7/8s PRACTICE ASSIGNMENTS

As mentioned above, a select group of 7/8 age group swimmers have been asked to practice from 3:45 PM - 4:25 PM during Pre-Season. This is in an effort to balance the number of swimmers in each practice group, as well as to align the swimmers with others of similar skill level. We have emailed you directly if your 7/8 year-old is requested at the earlier practice time. If you did not receive an email from us, your 7/8 swimmer is requested from 4:25 - 5:05 PM.

SUIT FIT DAY 4/18 + NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING

Our final Suit Fit Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM. As a reminder, we have a new LTST suit design for the 2023 season, which you can check out HERE. Suits are non-returnable, so it’s important to try on and select the correct size and style before ordering. Reminder: An official LTST swimsuit is required for new team members.

After confirming your swimmer’s correct size, order your suit directly from the Ryte Sport website. The vendor ships suits directly to your home. There is no avoiding the shipping charge, which is $10 for girls' suits and $8 for boys‘ suits. However, the shipping is flat-rate, so it does not increase if you order multiple suits. Please feel welcome to coordinate with a neighbor or friend and place your orders together if you want to save on the shipping fees.

APPAREL STORE OPENS 4/17

Many of you have asked about purchasing LTST spirit wear, parkas, backpacks, and more. We are excited to announce that our new LT Apparel Store, hosted by SwimOutlet.com, will go live on Monday, April 17. In the Apparel Store, you will be able to purchase LTST sweatshirts, tank tops, pajama pants, baseball hats, parkas, backpacks, etc. And as part of our partnership with SwimOutlet, everything you buy on SwimOutlet.com (not just within the LT Apparel Store) earns money for our team. So, if you are looking for new goggles, practice suits, caps, or other gear, please shop at SwimOutlet beginning April 17! You just have to select our team name when shopping on the SwimOutlet site. We will send a separate email when the Apparel Store goes live.

PARENT JOBS OPEN 4/26

Parent Job preview days are April 24 and 25. Parent Job Signups will open on April 26. We will share more information about Parent Jobs and the signup process during our Kickoff Meeting, and we’ll send email reminders before signups open.
