Dear Seahorse Families,

It was so nice to experience warm weather at a swim meet! We tried something new at the meet on Saturday - setting up a ‘shared shade’ area created by our six newly-purchased pop-up tents. If you enjoyed the shared shade and are willing to lend a hand at future Home meets, we are planning to set up the same configuration this Saturday, June 10. We welcome your help with setup at 7:30 AM and especially appreciate anyone who can stay to help break down as the meet concludes.

BATTLE OF THE AGES

Battle of the Ages is an invitational meet hosted by the Pleasant Hill Dolfins on June 24 and 25. At this meet, swimmers compete against other swimmers of their OWN AGE - for example, 11 year-olds swim only against 11 year-olds. 12 year-olds swim only against 12 year-olds. It's a particularly fun meet for swimmers who are in their "down" year. As with other invitational meets, you may choose your swimmer's events (up to 4 events per swimmer). Please read all the details on the website calendar. (Note the different location this year!)

There are entry fees associated with this invitational meet. Families are responsible for $10 per swimmer, and LT will pick up the remaining balance. Your card will be charged once entries are finalized. There will be no refunds. The deadline to enter the meet is June 10 at 5:00 PM. Also note that participating families will be asked to work a short timing shift at the meet.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSONS

Private Lessons begin this week. If you have swapped lesson times with another family, please email the Directors - [email protected] - so that we can let the Coaches know which swimmer to expect.

SEAHORSE DAY CAMP

Seahorse Day Camp also begins this week! If your child is registered for Camp Week 1, you should have received a welcome email over the weekend from our Camp Director, Robin Mathers. Please remember to send your child with a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, towel and goggles. SNACK SHACK TUESDAY #1 - TUESDAY, JUNE 6

A lunchtime favorite awaits Seahorse families on Tuesdays, starting tomorrow through July 25. The Snack Shack Tuesday team will be selling Lunch Meals from 11:30am to 1:00pm. We encourage you to purchase a digital Tuesday Lunch “Punch” Card online right now - no need to remember cash or carry any cards on Tuesdays! Menu and other details are listed at the link above. 6 & UNDER SOCIAL - TUESDAY, JUNE 6

The Spirit and Social team are hosting a 6 & Under age group social from 4-5:30 PM on Tuesday, June 6 at the pool. Join us for treats, games, friends and fun! No RSVP needed. See you there!

LTST @ PHA + A NOTE ABOUT LEAGUE COMPETITION

Our League competition season begins this week with a meet at Pleasant Hill Aquatics on Wednesday. The window to enter this meet has already closed. Please be on deck and ready for warm-ups to begin at 5:00 PM.

Wednesday is also the deadline to commit to this Saturday’s (league) meet against Rancho San Miguel. Please commit ASAP!

As a reminder to newer families: The teams in our league (the Diablo Community Swim League) are Forest Hills, Livorna, Pleasant Hill Aquatics, Rancho San Miguel, Scottsdale, Springwood, and Walnut Country. These are the teams against whom we will compete at the DCSL Championship Meet on Saturday, July 29 at Northgate High School. Our dual meets against each of these teams are important because the results count toward our dual meet standings within the league. You’ll notice that we score the meets against our league competitors. The DCSL bylaws, for anyone interested in learning more about our league, can be read HERE.

MOMS NIGHT - SATURDAY, JUNE 10

Moms Night is coming up on Saturday, June 10 from 6pm - 8pm at Wine Thieves - 3401 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, Lafayette. There are still a few spots open for this fun evening. It’s a great way for Seahorse Moms to get to know one another!

LAS TRAMPAS RUMBLE - SUNDAY, JUNE 11

Our first Rumble at LT class is coming up Sunday, June 11. Grab a friend and join this bootcamp-style workout hosted by our Burton Valley neighbor, Danielle Freda. The infamous Rumble boot camps are designed to build strength and muscle tone, endurance, functional movement, and overall mobility. They are high energy and FUN! $30per person. 8:30am-9:30am at the pool. Bring a water bottle and towel. These classes are open to all LT Pool members as a fundraiser for LTST.
