Just a few quick notes as we head into the weekend!

SETUP TOMORROW

Tomorrow morning, we will be setting up our shared shade tents again beginning at 7:30 AM. If you’re able to lend a hand, we would welcome setup help at that time. We also appreciate anyone who can stay until the end of the meet to break down the pop-ups and store them away for next time. 

As Matt Worster mentioned, RSM is a large team, so we appreciate you being conscientious with parking and deck space. Thanks in advance for keeping your family’s setup footprint as compact as possible! As a reminder, setup may begin at 7:30 AM.

BATTLE OF THE AGES

Signup is open for Battle of the Ages! Battle of the Ages is a 2-day invitational meet hosted by the Pleasant Hill Dolfins on June 24 and 25. At this meet, swimmers compete against other swimmers of their OWN AGE - for example, 11 year-olds swim only against 11 year-olds. 12 year-olds swim only against 12 year-olds. It's a particularly fun meet for swimmers who are in their "down" year. As with other invitational meets, you may choose your swimmer's events. Please read all the details on the website calendar. (Note the different location this year!)

There are entry fees associated with this invitational meet. Families are responsible for $10 per swimmer, and LT will pick up the remaining balance. Your card will be charged once entries are finalized. There are no refunds. The deadline to enter the meet is June 10 at 5:00 PM. Also note that participating families will be asked to work a short timing shift at the meet.

DADS NIGHT

Seahorse Dads, we hope you can make it to LTST Dads Night!!

When: Saturday, June 17th beginning at 7:00pm

Please come join and meet new and returning Las Trampas Swim Team Dads for drinks and dinner at Hops & Scotch in Walnut Creek! We have rented out the outside deck for the evening.

ALL-POOL SUMMER BBQ

This year, we are starting a new monthly BBQ series at the pool, on Thursday evenings from 5-8pm starting on June 15, two weeks from today. These are casual gatherings to bring the LT community (both Swim Team and non-team families) together and have an easy dinner with minimal effort and lots of fun! Mark your calendars for all the summer BBQ Thursdays:

• June 15 - next week!
• July 20
• August 24
• Sept 21

We'll have the grill going and will be offering hot dogs, hamburgers and impossible burgers with a side of chips for $5 each, from 5:30-6:30pm. We'll also have a hosted keg of Canyon Club beer for adults and lemonade for kids; any other sides or drinks are BYO.

To pull this off in our first year, we need your help! We have a few volunteer slots that need to be filled to help with food prep and register. Please check out the SignUpGenius to grab a slot. The shifts are short and sweet.
