Happy Fourth of July!  We hope you are enjoying the holiday break. As a reminder, practice resumes July 6. The deadline to declare for the July 8 meet against Walnut Country is tomorrow, July 5 (following our typical Wednesday / Saturday deadline pattern).

There will be no Mudskipper / Sea Pony practice all week. MS/SP practice resumes on Monday, July 10.

TALENT SHOW / MOVIE NIGHT - JULY 8

• 7:30 - 8:30 PM, Talent Show
• 8:30 - 10:30 PM, Movie Night

Bring your talents to the LT stage!! Whether you sing, dance, juggle, play an instrument, act or do magic tricks, come ready to entertain the crowd of your fellow teammates and friends. Please limit your performance to 3 minutes or less. When signing up, include in the names of all of the participants in your act, and the talent you will be sharing. Talent Show Signup

After the Talent Show, our annual Movie Night begins! The movie we will be watching this year, in the spirit of our theme Off to the Races! is Secretariat. It is rated PG, and the running time is about 2 hours. Please bring blankets, sleeping bags, and/or chairs for your family. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be served!

RUMBLE AT LT - JULY 9

Our second Rumble at LT class is coming up Sunday, July 9 from 8:30-9:30 AM. Grab a friend and join this bootcamp-style workout hosted by our Burton Valley neighbor, Danielle Freda. The infamous Rumble boot camps are designed to build strength and muscle tone, endurance, functional movement, and overall mobility. They are high energy and FUN! $30per person. Bring a water bottle and towel. These classes are open to all LT Pool members as a fundraiser for LTST. Sign Up HERE and Venmo payment to @LTSTtreasurer. 13+ SOCIAL EVENT - JULY 11

Our first social event for swimmers age 13+ will be Tuesday, July 11 from 7pm-9pm at the Pool. We’ll be serving Mexican food and root beer floats. Keep an eye out for more information!

DCSL CHAMPIONSHIP MEET - JULY 29

Declare Your Swimmer Now! Every swimmer makes a difference! The championship meet point structure is designed so that ALL swimmers, of every ability level, have the opportunity to help our team score. Furthermore, we do not only compete in the pool; there are also league-wide competitions for Team Spirit and Sportsmanship. We truly hope your swimmer will participate in our most important meet of the year.

SWIM TEAM DANCE - JULY 15

Our friends from Sun Valley and Rancho Colorados have invited Las Trampas to participate in an all-ages Swim Team Dance! Swimmers: Gather up your swim team friends, dress in LT spirit wear or Disco attire, and come down to Acalanes High School for a fun night of music and dancing. RESPONSE REQUIRED - REGISTER HERE. Deadline to register is July 9.

• Saturday, July 9 at Acalanes High School
• 6:00pm, Doors Open
• 6:30pm - 8pm, The Dance (doors will be closely monitored with limited in and out access)
• Chaperones: All swimmers 8 and under will need a designated adult present. Adults can watch multiple swimmers.
• Highlights:
  • Step and Repeat Photo Opportunity with Props upon entry
  • Sign-in Wall
  • Loads of fun decorations
  • A contained rest area in front of Gym with water for swimmers needing a break
  • Post-dance food trucks outside the gym (individuals pay for their own meal)
  • SVST would LOVE older swimmers to help with decorating from 5:10pm to 6pm.  Please let the Swim Team Directors know if you are interested in helping with this.

REMINDER - GOT SNEAKERS?

Save them for the Swim Team! Bring all your old athletic shoes to LT! As a reminder, we are collecting used athletic shoes (in any condition) for a fundraiser. We need both shoes in the pair to get credit. Bring 5 pairs and we’ll throw in a LT Coffee Mug! Place shoes any time, all season, in the large bin near the pool entrance.
