We hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July break and are ready to dive back into swim team activities during the last three weeks of the regular season!

Here is a quick list of this week’s events, but please read through the full email that follows:

Saturday, 7/13 - LT at Livorna, 7:30pm Talent Night at the Pool, 8:30pm Movie Night (Sing 2)

July 8-9, RCST sharing LT Pool

In case you missed the all-pool email, our neighbors at Rancho Colorados are experiencing repair delays at their pool, which will extend into the early part of the week. As such, their pool is closed and we have offered to let their swim team use the Las Trampas pool for workouts on Monday and Tuesday. On those two days, Lanes 1-3 will be reserved for RCST practices from 2:30 PM - 8:00 PM (or possibly just 2 lanes if attendance warrants - to be determined by the lifeguard and RCST coach). If you come to LT for lap swimming on Monday or Tuesday afternoon/evening, please speak with the lifeguard on duty before hopping in. Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation as we extend a neighborly LT welcome to the Wahoos for these two days.

Spirit Carnival & Halloween in July

All Seahorses, Sea Ponies and Mudskippers are invited to attend the Spirit Carnival this Friday, July 12th from 11am-1pm. Participants are encouraged to wear a favorite costume. Our Spirit Coordinators have been hard at work planning this longtime favorite event. We will have glitter tattoos, tons of games, prizes, snow cones, and popcorn.

Please note that we will still have regular practice for the 6&unders, Mudskippers and Sea Ponies on Friday.

Talent Night & Movie Night

Bring your talents to the LT stage!! Whether you sing, dance, juggle, play an instrument, act or do magic tricks, come to entertain a crowd of your fellow teammates and friends. Please limit your performance to 3 minutes or less. There will be a sign-up poster at the pool. When signing up, include in the names of all of the participants in your act, and the talent you will be sharing.

Need a little Talent Show inspiration? Back in 2020, we got creative and held a virtual Talent Show, hosted by True Seahorse™ Coach Nelson. Lucky for us, we can watch it again and again, HERE.

After the Talent Show, our annual Movie Night begins! The movie we will be watching this year, in the spirit of our theme Rock the Blocks! is Sing 2. It is rated PG, and the running time is about 1:50. Please bring blankets, sleeping bags, and/or chairs for your family. Hot chocolate and popcorn will be served!

DCSL Championship - Information Forthcoming!

Our regular season will conclude in three short weeks with our Diablo Community Swim League Championship on July 27th and 28th. We will send a separate email pertaining to this exciting weekend, including parent job requirements, but in the meantime, please consider sponsoring the meet - details are here.
