Spring Clinic 2024
March 19, 2024 - April 20, 2024
Clinic Overview:
The 2024 LTST Spring Clinic will be held from Tuesday, March 19th - Saturday, April 20th. Practice sessions will be offered four days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The program will adhere to capacity limitations, so registration will close when we reach our maximum number of registrants. Please register early to secure a spot!
Annual Las Trampas Pool Dues must be paid prior to registering for Spring Clinic.
Registration Timeline:
- February 5th (2:00PM): Spring Clinic registration opens for returning pool members
- February 12th (2:00PM): Spring Clinic registration opens to new pool members
- Registration will close when we reach maximum headcount, or Saturday, March 2nd at 6:00 PM - whichever comes first. A $50 Late Fee applies for those who wish to sign up after registration is closed (if spaces are available).
- We will keep a Waiting List once the program reaches maximum headcount.
- Registration fees will be non-refundable once registration closes.
Schedule:
Your child will be assigned to a balanced workout group based on age and ability. We will consider the overall roster of swimmers who have registered before finalizing the practice schedule or assigning anyone to groups. We cannot accommodate requests for specific practice times or specific friends to be together.
The Spring Clinic 2024 schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
- Group 1 (generally, age 5 - 7): 3:45 - 4:30 PM
- Group 2 (generally, age 6 - 8): 4:30 - 5:15 PM
- Group 3 (generally, age 8 - 11): 5:15 - 6:00 PM
- Group 4 (generally, ages 9+): 6:00 - 6:45 PM
Saturday:
- Group 4: 8:30 - 9:15 AM
- Group 3: 9:15 - 10:00 AM
- Group 2: 10:00 - 10:45 AM
- Group 1: 10:45 - 11:30 AM
Program Fee: $275 per swimmer
Important Information
- The LT Spring Swim Clinic is designed to prepare swimmers for a competitive environment. This is not a “learn to swim” program.
- Coaches will not be in the water with swimmers.
- To be eligible for this program, swimmers must be able to complete a 25-yard lap of freestyle unassisted.
- A certified Lifeguard will be on duty at all workouts.
- Please make sure that your swimmer is equipped with goggles, towel and water bottle. Swim caps are required for all swimmers with hair that goes past the collar.
- The diving board will be unavailable for use.
- The Toddler Pool will be unavailable for use.
- The Lifeguard Office is always off-limits to swimmers.
Las Trampas Clinic Codes of Conduct
Swimmers and parents will be asked to read and sign their respective Codes of Conduct, acknowledging that they will comply with Clinic policies in the interest of respect and safety to themselves, other swimmers, and Coaches. Furthermore, a current Waiver of Liability and current Covid Waiver must be on file for each family for the 2024 season. Review and signature of both Codes of Conduct and the aforementioned Waivers will be required to complete the registration process.
Swimmer Code of Conduct
- Swimmer-to-swimmer and Swimmer-to-Coach contact is not allowed. Spitting, splashing, and any general roughhousing is strictly forbidden.
- By attending practice, you attest that:
- You are not experiencing any symptoms such as fever (100 degrees or higher), chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
- If you or a member of your household tests positive for Covid-19, you will follow current Contra Costa County Health Department guidelines based on your vaccination status.
Parent Code of Conduct
- Parents will verify that swimmers have all necessary equipment prior to dropping off at the pool, including but not limited to: goggles, caps, towel, water bottle, sunscreen.
- Parents will be timely in dropping off and picking up swimmers.
- By allowing your child to attend practice, you attest that:
- Your swimmer is not experiencing symptoms such as fever (100 degrees or higher), chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, vomiting, and/or diarrhea.
- If you or a member of your household tests positive for Covid-19, you will follow current Contra Costa County Health Department guidelines based on your vaccination status.
Code of Conduct Violations
To be sanctioned by Coaching and Lifeguard Staff in consultation with the Swim Team Directors:
- First Infraction: Dismissal from Clinic session for the rest of the day.
- Second Infraction: Dismissal from Clinic for the rest of the week
- Third Infraction: Suspension from Clinic program.
